I woke up in the Midwest US today and it is -20° F but I'm prepared for that plus the snow. This is really dangerous mismanagement by Texas leadership and a good opportunity to show solidarity with the citizens. Especially unhoused people and the working poor.
Growing up in Texas was wild. The entire state had this idea that it was the roughest toughest place in the world and loved the idea that it was its own nation once upon a time. Yet they fail to see that as a nation, it was a complete failure. Texas is in constant need of federal support. It has one of the worst education systems of all time, and has consistently been on the losing side of history.
