Then there's Always Sunny, where a main character getting pregnant is largely ignored by the self-centered cast and the baby is given away immediately, having no impact on the show overall.
I feel like the nanny had a really natural ending. Granted it didn’t have the same appeal after Fran and Mr Sheffield got together because the whole will they/won’t they thing was the appeal it was nice to see it rounded off in a clear way. With the older kids growing up and Fran happily married with biological kids.

Anytime a character gets added, especially a baby, it means the writers ran out of ideas.
