I had an older black lab who loved the water. Pool, beach, river - didn’t matter. But, he was soooooo protective of me when it came to the ocean. If I went in the water, he would start howling and swimming towards me and then he would catch me and grab my wrist or even my hair and start pulling me to shore lol. He loved to nap on the beach with me and I would sometimes try to sneak away to go play in the water and all you’d see is this big black dog running towards the water once he realized I was gone. His name was moose and he was a good boy.
Edit: I forgot my dog tax, but here is my favorite photo of him. He was already 8 years old, but still had puppy eyes.
