Not all Brexiteers are racist, some of them are just morons. But as a UK based POC (I loathe that term but it’s slightly less idiotic than BAME) these nasty pieces of shit get zero empathy.
She was warned by economists, scholars, business leaders, politicians, people with jobs that relied on EU trade, importers/exporters, and many others. I work in customs, tax & trade; every day I hear people saying they need help or they're going to have to sack employees, lose their main contract, or lose their business. It's horrifying and takes a toll as there’s only so much you can do. I have no sympathy for her or people like her any more. It's not the politicians/media tycoons’ fault, it’s her fault and the public's for falling for this rot.
If you don't have the common sense to research claims and see if they have any merit then sorry this is on you for being gullible.
Brexit was a result of jingoism pure and simple. Ken and Doris still thinking that the British Empire exists and we rule the waves. They probably don’t even realise the backs that Empire was made on because it was ignored when they were in school. They were never made aware of the colonial crimes let alone things like the Highland Clearances, Treachery of the Blue Books, or Irish hedge-schools closer to home.
