Today’s my birthday. No one could make it over for pizza and games, the power went out and I twisted my ankle because I couldn’t see coming down the stairs. It’ll be me, the guitar, and some tears tonight. Happy 20th to me!
Happy Birthday. You’re going to be okay. You don’t realize it now but this is a day you’ll think about & appreciate when you’re 55 like me. I’ve spent several b-days & holidays alone. I’m a stronger person because of it & you will be too. When you can, treat yourself to something as gift to you. You deserve it. Happy Birthday!
You might not have people there in the room with you, but you're not the only one facing these harsh days by yourself. So in that sense, you're not alone. As a gift from me to you, I'll take a few minutes here and there to think about you till I go to sleep. Few things feel as nice as knowing someone thinks about me even when I'm not around. Happy birthday. It DOES get better.... And worse. It 100% depends on your outlook. <3
