This is a common problem in loot-based RPGs, as they don't want you to feel like you can't find good stuff out in the wild just because you bought something nice, but they also don't want you to feel like you should never buy anything.

However, a lot of the time, buying things ends up just being a faster/different alternative to getting better gear vs looting or crafting. :\

Witcher 3 have way too much of this.

Don't feel like you ever need to buy any weapons or armor. The best stuff you'll find roaming around in ruins.
