It really is amazing that her defense—which she said out loud, where other people could hear, on the floor of the House of Representatives—was “I was too stupid to recognize disinformation and chose instead to reject demonstrable fact and empirical evidence” and still only 11 GOP members voted to remove her from her committee positions.
She was also allowed to believe things that are true and backed with evidence. She made a choice to believe stories that fit with and support her beliefs.
