Having an electric car is fine if you have a private driveway/garage where you can plug it in. I wouldn't mind driving an electric car, but I live in a flat with no driveway and there's a public footpath before you get to the car. I can't run a cable across to the car.
We need more public charging infrastructure, be it kerbside posts or whatever to plug into. Either that or battery technology advances to the point I can go to a 'fuel station' and charge up in a few mins
