Fuckimg I started in webdev a longish time ago and there were so many clients like that. Shakily standing up their businesses counting on their site I undercharged for out of pity to help them out etc. Sometimes their business ideas were bad and you could tell they were sinking their life savings in.
I have been doing software consultation and programming for literally decades, and I promise you it is NEVER worth it to take on a client that does not see the value in your work.
Set your price, verify it is reasonable, and look for good, paying customers. No friends & family discounts. No first-time customer discounts. No stock options.
