I love senior dogs. Every stage of a dogs life brings something new and a different part of their personality. My girl is 12 and so sassy. I also had a collie that lived until he was 18, unfortunately we had to put him to sleep because he was ill. It's an absolute treasure to watch them throughout their life and be with them on that journey.
I also love that they still act like puppies from time to time!
