I wish being content was more acceptable and not seen as being lazy or unmotivated. I’m sorry if I find happiness in the small simple things in life and don’t want to bother hustling through life always trying to be at top.

At any job interview they asked where I saw myself in 5 years. I was like, “Probably here. I’m pretty directionless.” I genuinely just want to go to work and come home so I can read books.

Alan Watts said something profound that always stuck with me.

The purpose of music isn’t to reach the end of the composure. Otherwise the fastest players would be the best. Just like you don’t dance in order to reach a particular point in the room. It’s about the process and enjoying the journey.

Having a purpose implies that something needs to be fulfilled. This leads to a problem. Once that particular purpose has been fulfilled, what then?

People waste their entire life chasing something that have absolutely no idea about that they forget to enjoy the moment.
