I swear I was just thinking about this earlier! Bruh, I didn’t end up at a Red Lobster until I was 17 years old & I thought it was the most high class shit imaginable. Even tried some key lime pie for the first time, for a little extra razzle dazzle.
Oh god, one of my most repressed memories is from when my family went to a Texas Roadhouse for the first time and I had my first steak (well, half because I had to share with my brother.) the waiter came by, and in this dim lit room with peanut shells all over the floor and shitty country music blasting loudly, I told him to “give my compliments to the chef”.
