From the left: Taleo, my everyday feet. Surprisingly flexible and works well with pants. Challenger, very versatile feet. I use them quite a lot since they relieve pressure from my stumps when walking/ doing activities for longer periods. All around feet that are perfect for sports activities! Runner, my running feet. These are specifically designed for running. Awesome power in the tracks! I can use the same sockets (the black part that I put my stumps into) with all the feet! Takes about ~30 sec to change. Together these feet enable me to do most things. Have yet to found an activity I cannot do, but I reckon I haven’t tried everything! If you want to see them in action, take a look at my Instagram @ampisallen. Cheers!

Edit: I’ve gotten a few questions about my condition. To not answer the same question everywhere I will paste a comment from another post. That post was about skiing, so I’m also talking about that.

Hi reddit. I want to give you some background to this image.

I’ve been skiing all my life ever since I was a little kid. A few years back my illness, ~ 22 tumors in my soles, (plantar facial fibromatosis, or ledderhose disease) made it impossible for me to continue living my life as I had before. The tumors were extremely painful and made walking, and of course skiing, impossible. It tried several treatments, from surgery, laser treatments to radiotherapy. Nothing worked and my condition worsened. I decided to make one last attempt at improving my situation, and pushed for amputation. I got my left foot removed late October 2019 and my right foot removed late February 2020, right when we got home from a ski trip!

Since then I’ve been trying to improve in every way I can, from using my prosthetics for walking and running to sports like wheelchair basketball and skiing!

I had a fantastic instructor who helped me the first week which really gave me a solid start. I reckon I’ve fallen hundreds of times and getting up was horribly difficult in the beginning, but for every time I fell I got better. Now I feel like I can get around the mountain very well which is important as my kid will start skiing soon and by then I need to be able to handle myself as well as a little one out there.

If you want to see more of my progress, take a look at my Instagram @ampisallen I’m way more active there.

I always heard about 6 feet guys getting all the girls, I always thought it was a reference to height.
