We took my youngest to his first haunted house a few years ago maybe 8-9 years old. Usuaally I would just wait back with him while my husband and oldest went through and we would look at people in consumes and talk to some of the people working there. When he was ready to try it he got halfway through and this zombie/clown came right up to him he said “ no thank you” and had his arm out, right after that there was a loud bang/bomb sound and that was this kid was so scared. The only way to get out was to keep going. He would yell “ please don’t come out of your spots I’m scared” everyone let us pass and go through. He said he has never forgotten this
