That is a BMW 507. Only 252 made between 56-60. Has a 3.2L V8 engine. Originally meant to sell for $5000, but ended up selling for $9-10,000US in 1956 dollars. (About $90k now). Sales were weak and they lost money on every one. It almost bankrupted BMW.
It’s a beautiful car. They sell for $1-$2 million at auction now.
