I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal but after SEVEN YEARS my antisocial rescue boy actually jumped up and flopped onto my lap all on his own. I’m so happy!! 🥰

Seven years and totally worth every second.

We have a 14 year old antisocial man who has started to do the same. He’s also just in this past week realized that sleeping on our spare bed is a thing he can do and he loves it! He used to just want to chill out in the basement. So happy for you!

I had a cat that I feared my entire childhood, she only liked my mother and would seat at anyone else who walked by. To this day I won't stand at the edge of a bed with my feet under the bed because of how many times she'd attack my feet (I'm 31 now and the cat is long gone) One day I'm alone in the house watching TV on the couch and this cat strolls up and plops herself on my lap, much to my surprise(and fear) like we're best friends. From that moment until she died that cat was like my shadow. Constantly on my lap, sticking her face in what I was cooking, following me around. it was the wildest thing, like a switch flipped.

I miss that cat.
