This is literally my family in Georgia.
Me: “ you know, free healthcare would mean you don’t pay to get healthcare, and we’d save hundreds of billions in tax money”
Them: “that’s socialism, it only helps non-white people”
Me: “it helps you too, and if everyone is better off, we’re all better off”
Them: “I don’t want other people taking my tax money”
Me: “like you don’t want other people using our roads and sewers?”
Them: “yes. Exactly”

During this pandemic, the rich are 25% richer than before. They gabble up houses and businesses that people have to give up.
