My cousin had COVID and tried to give it to her kids. seriously. like it was chicken pox. She also, while positive and contagious went all around town including her church, her parents house, Starbucks and grocery store. When I confronted her about it she said, "Yeah but we wore a mask" My response, didn't you say masks didn't do anything?
Marie Curie’s mom got TB pretty much after Marie was born so her mom never hugged or kissed her or let her eat off the same plate but some if these people can’t wear a mask or give up parties.

Because people are incapable of setting aside their short term want for the long term need of the greater population.
They aren't being asked to kill, just to be considerate of others.
