There is usually that one special student who goes out of their way to express their concern about teachers. I have 2 this year in my high school classes. Hugs to my fellow teachers out there! Stay safe and get some rest!
As a teacher I love seeing students like this but it also makes me sad sometimes because a lot of students who are emotionally mature are that way because they had to be.
Like they’re their parents whole emotional support system and so they understand adult problems probably way too much/worry about adults in their life too much. Obviously different for a senior but I’ve seen 7th graders with this level of emotional maturity and it’s usually because their parent isn’t doing well, but the rare instance where it is just a super stellar kid it is pretty cool!

Teaches are so under appreciated. I’m sure that student made his/her day and he didn’t even realize
