But you can still sign. I will update the Bar w/additional signatures after the holidays.

Gaetz has been a staunch supporter of the president and his efforts to overturn the election. He was one of the 126 House Republicans to sign an amicus brief supporting Texas’s effort to have the Supreme Curt overturn the election results in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The court ruled earlier this month that Texas could not interfere in how other states conducted their elections.

The petition argues that Gaetz acted in sedition designed to “tear apart the fabric of federalism that allows this nation to function and thrive.” Keith further argues that Gaetz violated standards for lawyers licensed in Florida, and should be sanctioned.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the petition had 3,305 signatures.

Keith hinted earlier this month that she would filed disbarment petitions against the congressman and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi (R). Gaetz responded at the time.

"Pam - I’ve never lost an election,” Gaetz tweeted Dec. 13.

“Honest questions: How many times have you run? How many wins? (The voters just aren’t that into you...)," he added.

Gaetz's office did not comment on the petition.

A former Florida congressional candidate has filed a petition to disbar Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) over his support for President Trump’s election challenges.

Here’s the petition for those who agree. So far only 3000 have signed. Maybe Reddit can help.

Edit: 1) wow guys, when I posted this there were ~3600 signatures on the petition, now it’s up to 5200 8600! Even if only 10% of the 2.5k people that upvoted my comment signed on, that’s still 5% of the increase ! 2) thanks for the awards, I hope it makes this petition more visible (I’m normally skeptical of them but making this petition visible is worth it). 3) I’ll stop comparing upvotes and signature counts as the signatures are skyrocketing thanks to this being shared on Twitter and Facebook. Thanks to all of you who are signing on (don’t forget to confirm) and thanks to those who are making this comment more visible.

Yes, at least get it on record.

"What?", he slurred, "It was one DUI. If you disbar me, I will rebar me. You watch."
