I feel like moving to another state where cannabis is legal because NY will never legalize it because of the conservative state politicians who want to keep it illegal. I don’t want to purchase it from a drug dealer and I don’t want to risk getting busted with being in possession with it. I have my nights where I just want to get baked.
I really hope it passes everywhere. I work in a rehab and nothing is a bigger waste of my time than having to give drug counseling to someone who just smokes weed once in a while because his PO sent him. You know how stupid I feel when I see someone who lost their entire world to heroin and then my next client smokes a blunt a day for his anxiety and they're both in the same drug program and both facing jail time for not completing it? It's absolutely ridiculous.

It’s a shame that each state is different. I live in a town that legalized it. Now there is less crime, less dui’s, and a dispensary on every corner
5 years ago, I had a cousin put in jail for 1 full year over a weed arrest in this same town.
