This particular case is cool because of the long time the glasses span, and the way they’re displayed. For the rest of us tho, you can donate your old glasses to an organization that matches up the prescription with someone in need- here in the US, at least. It’s called the Lions Club, they’re a social welfare non-profit, kinda like the Jaycees or the Rotary Club.

There is a Lions Club dropbox that looks like an old US mailbox right next to the door of our local library- which is genius IMO. Every time I walk out of the library, it reminds me of how much I enjoy reading; it makes me want to donate my old glasses so that someone else can have that joy, too.
