It’s been the perfect pandemic to destroy America. It has thrived through indecision, division, stubbornness, lack of scientific literacy, selfishness, and let’s not forget a garbage health care system.
Here’s an analogy: 9/11 was like being punched in the face. It was visceral. You had big buildings on fire. You had an enemy you could supposedly point to.
Covid is like slowly bleeding out. And suddenly you don’t just have to be angry at Middle Easterners, you have to listen to scientists. And they’re throwing big concepts at you that are unfamiliar and confusing. In a sense.....It’s boring and it doesn’t engage the lizard brain in the same way.
