I don’t understand how my country (Canada) was able to provide $2000 for everyone that needed it PER MONTH, but the richest country in the world only did $1200 once.
Edit: I see some comments saying that Americans who were working then got laid off actually did receive a decent cheque per week/month.
It's pretty funny how we can't afford to help people during an unprecedented global pandemic, yet the federal government can ALWAYS afford to spend billions of dollars to put people in jail for smoking weed.
The United States government spends roughly 7.7 billion dollars a year on cannabis prohibition.
