A couple years ago I planted 800 tulip bulbs in a 8b hardiness zone... its a futile effort, but worth it. Only about 1/3 survive each year.

Because, Tulips originate from the foothills of the Himalayas. They don't just like cold... they NEED cold. 6 weeks freeze minimum.

They are my favorite flower.

Anyone know where the picture was taken?

I read this as "on snow" like something can be "on fire"... And found that peculiar.

Seems weird to describe as the tulips are on the the snow... seems more that the snow is no the tulips ...?
