“It’s been a huge thrill to enter this whole-new dimension of the Warcraft universe together with millions of players around the world,” said J. Allen

Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “It’s been equally rewarding to see players enjoying all of the new features and content in Shadowlands

in Exile’s Reach—and there’s much more to come.”

I'm honestly surprised. The hype for this expansion did not feel as high for me as it did for legion or wod.

I'm enjoying the expansion so far at least!

Well, they got a lot of things right with shadowlands. I'm a returning player who stopped mid pandaria.

- Got hyped up again by classic (even though I stopped playing that again)

- The leveling rework with the level squish made it look easier to catch up

- even though Blizzard's (probably) not to credit for this, covid meant I have more time for something like wow.

If not for all three of these, I wouldn't have subbed again, and I guess there's more people in the same boat.

I find it odd though that the major gaming news outlets a la IGN and Gamespot haven't really talked about the game. Launch week didn't have much of a presence on their home page. Wtf is up with that.
