If you read the article, what makes the commentator "sad" is that Wilson admits she lost weight so she could keep working. Wilson feared, apparently with some merit, that as she got older, she needed to be incredibly thin in order to continue working.
I don't know who Rebel Wilson is, but it's a common problem in Hollywood, at least. Once women hit 40-50, they become the grandma.
