This is just another way we go into giant debt/bankruptcy, but good thing we have insurance...This is where American healthcare is even more of a scam.
My wife had an emergency c-section at a private hospital in Bangkok. We had a private recovery room for 3 nights with 24 hour care. Room included a kitchenette, shower, coffee machine, mini fridge, and we had a balcony. Three meals per day were brought to us. Also there were classes for my wife on how to breastfeed, change diapers, and general baby stuff. All meds and vaccines were also included in the bill. Grand total was somewhere around 1,200USD. I can't remember the exact total. Neither of us have insurance and we paid directly to the hospital. Whatever is going on in the US medical system is totally bananas!
