Typical Nparent behavior. I wait a whole year for Christmas as it is my favorite holiday and they knew it and used to take away Christmas from me as a punishment. As in, no celebration, no tree, nothing. They wouldn't even let me play a Christmas song. They would just pretend Christmas doesn't exist. That was my punishment for anything they dislike about me. So I used to walk on eggshells around them during this time of the year. One wrong move and Christmas is gone.
