Unfortunately, he was killed by ISIS on September 29, 2017. There is an interesting interview video of him that was shot 7 days before he died.

My favorite quote of him from the video is “I shoot out of certainty because I know my enemy and the enemy of humanity.” when asked whether there are times when he’s not sure the target is a member of ISIS or not.
