If that only would happen on Oak Island, season 437 would be a little more interesting.

I grew up playing in a back garden in Cornwall with something like this underneath it. My parents only recently found it and capped it off at a cost of £12,000. There are so many of these around that you now require a mineshaft survey to sell a house in many areas.

Cornwall is basically riddled with mining tunnels, there's a reason why there are 'DO NOT LEAVE THE PATH' signs everywhere is you go walking in the countryside here. Dogs will run off into undergrowth and just vanish. People and kids often get hurt and sometimes killed.

One time my ex and I were out and found a mineshaft cover near a path that was just a bunch of rotting boards with grass growing on top of them. We only spotted it when we were almost on it. Don't leave the paths here.
