I work next to a food bank in Los Angeles. Every week the line gets longer and the cars get nicer. Yesterday the line had grown a shocking amount. It's slowly becoming a traffic hazard. I've worked here since 2005 and I never thought twice about it before about 2 months ago. The economic fallout is barely starting so hold on to your butts.

EDIT: fixed food bank from good bank

Shit like this makes me feel like I'm living in bizarro world. I have pictures on my phone showing massive lines for food banks, headlines of unprecedented numbers of dead from covid and I drive around seeing closed businesses knowing they won't open back up ever meaning tons of people without a job. But the DOW hit 30,000 so everything is ok? Wtf?
