Been there. I was at a bar and was like “hey you’ve had a few too many, let’s head home” and girl comes over and Is like “hey girl, I’ve been looking for you” and I’m like “while I’m sure she would appreciate the rescue, this is, in fact, my wife”
This one time I was on a bus and there were two people sitting across from me, a man and a woman, maybe in their 50s or 60s. I couldn't make out what the guy was saying to her because I had headphones in, but the woman was ignoring him and shifted her body so her back was to him. At one point, she finally got up and moved seats and the guy followed.
Suddenly these two girls, about mid twenties, comes up to the man and calls him out and says something like, "why are you harassing this woman when she clearly doesn't want to talk to you?" The woman jumps in and says, "oh, no, thank you, but this is my husband. I'm just mad at him."
I am a male but I help a lot of females out with a similar tactic. I work on trains. There is an abundance of drunk and pervy blokes that come onto younger women and it's awful. Some of them are absolutely terrified. I always say "Hey, your friends and your boyfriend told me to tell you that they're sat over there, they moved when you went to the toilet. I'll show you where they are." Then take them well away from the creepy bastard.
It's very hard for some people to comprehend just how scary it is for some women, and men for that matter. It's not flattering, it's terrifying.
