he's missing the key point:

we don't wear the mask because we're afraid of that small chance of dying, we wear the mask because we care enough about our neighbors to not pass the disease, in case we've already caught it.

it's not about fear for ourselves, it's about the care we have for each other. and that .2 percent chance of dying translates to more than a quarter million people dead, and more on the way. people are dying.

Let's even go with is intended value - 0.2%. Does this knucklehead wear a seatbelt? Does he rage about the dinging sound that cars make when you aren't wearing your seatbelt? Does he confront flight attendants when they tell him to fasten his seatbelt during takeoff?

Because, unless you are a shitty driver, your odds of getting into a fatal car crash every time you drive are less than 0.2%. And your odds of being in a plane crash are less than 0.2% also.

Could you imagine saying that 911 was nothing to worry about because .00001 percent of Americans died from it?
