Can confirm. Cops called on me with my two girls and few of their friends I took to the park last summer. A "concerned Karen" called in, saying a man was following four girls around the playground, terrorizing them. Cops show up to four girls screaming; "Come on!! Chase us!!" Fortunately, the cops were super cool about the whole thing.

I was a single dad and I would constantly get questioned when I would have to leave work early to pick up my kid or couldn’t work late...the worse part was my manager was a woman and she didn’t have any problems letting women take time off for family events or emergencies.

It's a thing. It isn't universal. It is likely more common for those of us that are a little less attractive. My favorite example is one of the times I tried to just ignore what was going on as I followed my toddler around the park. She made friends with a couple slightly older kids, I thought it was cute so I got out my phone to take a picture. I hear from behind me "That's enough, I'm calling the cops right now!" Immediately followed by another woman saying "Are you serious? That's his daughter! You've seen them here before!!"

We have had the cops called on us before. One of those times I get, since I was hauling her home from the park and she was scream crying that she didn't want to go.
