I hate the atmosphere on hospitals, everything is too white and cold, but this doesn't feel like a hospital at all. I'm here for it!

Genuinely didn’t expect to stumble upon my place of work on Reddit. HP is definitely gorgeous, we’ve been in the top 10 most beautiful hospitals in America list a few time. But I’m pretty sure the hotel thing is a myth...

Edit: I apologize! HP has only reached in the top 20. The pediatric hospital that is attached to it is the one that has been listed in the top 10. (Links posted below) Also, the myth goes that when they were building HP the designers chose to use a lobby blue print from some Wyndham catalogue bc they didn’t think it would make it as a hospital (not enough patients to cover cost) and they could turn it into a hotel quickly. Or at least that’s what I’ve been told several times in my 10 years of working there.
