But they don't want the illegal and foreign brown people to also get access to socialized medicine.

Only White people are supposed to get the benefits from socialism, a kind of national socialism if you will...

I am making jokey-jokes here, but be aware of any attempt by the GOP to force such concessions during the next presidency.

edit: Since people didn't pick up on what I was trying to say here: "Illegal and foreign" is code by racists to hide that they actually mean all Brown people, no matter whether they are naturalized (== legal immigrants) or born citizens.

Those reading this, please please please consider donating to the special election happening in GA with Jon Ossof and Raphael Warnock. If we can get a senate majority and ditch Mitch, we may actually be able to see real change.

Donate to Ossof here and Volunteer here

Donate to Warnock here and Volunteer here

If unsure who to donate to, or if you're unable to donate money, I know Stacy Abram's organization "Fair Fight" in GA are looking for both local and national volunteers. Check out FairFight to donate and here to volunteer.

She, among others, was responsible for flipping GA blue during the election by registering 800k voters.

I would also highly recommend reaching out to friends and family in GA to confirm they're registered. Also, anyone who will be 18 when the election happens in January will be eligible to register, even if they're 17 now. December 7th is the final date you can register to vote, December 14th is when early voting begins and the election day is January 5th. To request your absentee ballot from click here and register to voter here

The thing to remember about single-payer healthcare is what it would do for businesses. So-called conservatives get so wrapped up in reflexive name-calling that they don't imagine the business landscape if businesses weren't shackled to offering health insurance, and if people weren't shackled to businesses to get health insurance.

Barriers to starting and growing small businesses, the costs of hiring a full-time employee, would be significantly lowered. The American business landscape would get turbocharged.

Moreover, it would create a single point of contact for negotiating with the biopharma industry on fair prices (note I didn't say low prices, just fair prices). We are currently the only developed nation not to do these things. And sometimes, that doesn't make us special or smarter; it makes us stubborn, dumb, and primitive.

Where it brings efficiencies and honors our moral imperative to our fellow citizens, we can have a few select socialized systems without the country becoming SoCIaLiSt. Half the people complaining about socialist agenda are also terrified of having their socialized support structures (like medicare, social security) taken away or reduced.

It's time to end the cognitive dissonance and join the rest of the first world.
