I'm looking at this particular post and imagining our great grandchildren reading that going... "What the hell are they talking about? I don't get it."

Inside brick and mortar must have tables 6 ft apart or more. Maybe the tent allows for the same number of tables as usual, but with distance?

Let me explain. --- It isn't to give the illusion that you are eating outside. But many, many restaurants have capacity issues inside because the interior is small, and tables have to be 6feet apart, now. Without the extra space, they could not open. It's useless to open a restsurant where at full capacity you can only seat or so 8 tables, when the business model is atleast 20. The tent isn't to let you sit outside, rather, than to just increase over all capacity. And to give extra space between tables, workers and guests, etc. That way everyone gets to keep their job, and those people who would like to dine out, still can. Sauce: I'm a dining room manager of a very tiny fine dining establishment who just purchased a tent
