Seriously. These things were everywhere, and as soon as things tanked they poof disappeared. People were proud to display them. Adamant in having them in your face. Some people weren't so serious, and they came down.
Why am I talking about those fucking flags?
Because it's very telling what people believe when they display it on their sleeve...
Think of it like this: if Obama would have lost, do you think people would have packed their shit up? Nope. There would be "Change" flags and hats everywhere.
No, if you personally know someone who had one of those Flags on their car, or house, or was vigilant in displaying their support... And they took it down, you need to be careful around them: it means that they knew exactly how shitty Trump was and they just didn't care
They didn't care until his fascism back fired. Until they fully realized that their support for a racist might spell negative consequences. That most of the country does not support these ideas.
Trump gave confidence to racists and bigots of all sorts and magnitudes. Now they are going to try to burrow back into the dirt.

They hated Obama with a passion. Every minuscule thing he did was criticized. Hell, the man tried to compromise at the end of his term when he got a moderate appointee for the Supreme Court Justice to appease conservatives and they still blocked them.
Then they turned around and acted like victims when people criticized Drumpf like they had no right to. It's always been their way or the highway, and they've been holding us back as a country.
