The great days that the republicans keep talking about are the 50’s to 80’s. This is when all Americans were enjoying the benefits of the (socialist) New Deal. Taxes were high and most Americans were prospering. Going back to that means increasing taxes which they are obviously against. Their slogans are just empty words.
