USA needs a serious overhaul for democracy. One party shouldn't need to ensure they win 60+% of the vote to be certain they can actually take control and represent the people.
Yeah. Just took the dog out for a cold New York City walk with my daughter and I told her "Well, remember the next few days because you are experiencing something very historic going on right now!!" (She just looked at me and wagged her tail. I would have told my daughter too, but she had her earphones in, listening to music)
Voter supression is about as American as anything in America could be. When the country started only white male land owners could vote. That's the exact same demographic many want voting now. This is America. This country has spent its entire existence fighting against anybody but that specific demographic from voting and it will continue to fight against until.this country is fundamentally changed from the ground up. America is for rich white males by rich white males. Thats the way it is and always has been. Anything else is a fairytale.
