I grew up with him down in Del Mar. All those incredible shots at the Del Mar Skate Ranch, I'm one of the 60 little grommets watching from the stands. If this was '86, it would be our HS graduation year, from Torrey Pines High School. We were technically in school together, but I never saw him, because he was Tony Hawk, doing this, while I was in World Civ.

And in 2020 my 10 year old still thinks he’s cool. The only reason he doesn’t complain about wearing a helmet is because Tony Hawk wears one too.
