Memes aside, it depends alot on the judges. I have no idea why someone would sentance a homeless guy to 15 for $100 considering he also turned himself in.
I feel you're somewhat ignoring the "robbed a bank" part. Armed robbery carries a heavier sentence than fraud regardless of how much you take or what your social status is.
