One Thanksgiving, we put the half-eaten turkey in the oven (the oven was off) to keep the cats from getting it. We forgot about it and the next day we flew off to visit my family for a week. When we came back it was infested with maggots and flies. And the oven, which was a gas oven, never worked again.

I think the fluffyness could be caused by not enough fresh air exchange, try cutting some holes in your microwave so it can get more oxygen
