As someone who walks (bare minimum) 6 miles a day, I believe it.
Last year, I realized I need two pairs at any one time in order for either of them to last 9 months. Definitely helps. With that being said, one of those is specifically for urban/outdoor setting, and one is for tile floors (started culinary, now retail), so I have the privilege of being picky-choosey. You just can't expect one pair of shoes to survive in such a rough environment.
Above all else, I gotta say: That is an impressive level of posture and form for the entire shoe to go out like that. Mine usually starts at the heel.

Do you at least get a safety/shoe allowance for such frequent/impactful wear replacement? Also, TY
