It seems to me that of the biggest frauds ever committed on the American lower middle class has to be convincing them that they are rich.
Our country takes the whole “anyone can be anything/you could grow up to be President some day” far too literally. Sure, it is POSSIBLE, and no you don’t have to be an aristocrat, but that doesn’t mean you WILL be anything you want or the President.
You have to work VERY hard and have a LOT of luck. And, certainly not everyone posting thirst traps on Instagram and TikTok will make $400k annually, let alone be a billionaire.
