This is because the whole cabin can refresh its air every ~3 minutes. In a typical building the refresh rate is about 3-4 hours. Paired with hepa filters, this makes airplanes incredibly effective at mitigating the virus. This equates to the same thing as practicing 7 foot social distancing. Add masks and you further decrease chance of contracting the virus.
