I would have done this in a heartbeat if it was an option at 16. I'm 31 now and likely to be trying for a kid soonish, which means I'd have had 16 years of not having to worry about it.
"vasectomies are reversible" seems like a commonly believed thing, but sometimes they are not. Somebody in my family got one and wasn't able to reverse it even though they wanted kids.
Just mentioning this because despite what your well intentioned doctor or reddit advisor might say, you should think really hard about if you'd be okay if it could not be undone.
