Ah yes the very bottom tiers of human needs according to Maslov. Give that to the populace and watch them thrive, as they no longer need to work 8 hours a day just to get those basic needs met. Allow people to be able to fail at their pursuits. So many people can't takes those risks, otherwise they could end up homeless and/or hungry. It's been seen with a community in florida. Their college tuition gets paid as well as basic needs, and the kids end up try for more ambitious career paths and opposed to those with the same background who don't receive those benefits. If you want America to be great, do that.

Edit: because people have asked.

Just because we don't need to work doesn't mean we won't. UBI studies have shown that already. It just means the vast majority wouldn't suffer or starve. They'd be happier, healthier and more productive. Most the arguments I see countering this are strawman attacks, and anecdotes. When there are quite a few studies and examples from history and present day to look at.
