Fun story: Best Buy shipped me a GTX 1080 (very close to launch) which did not actually have a GPU. Yeah, some coin miner had pulled out all the circuitry, returned the package with just the chassis, and BB put it back on the shelf and sold it to me as new. Imagine my surprise when I went to put it into my case only to find there was no PCIE connection to make!

My BB 3080 FE was in a separate outer box when it arrived today. That's unfortunate yours showed up like that.
